Once, while flying from Cairns to Brisbane, I realized our scheduled landing was about half an hour too late for an important call. I remember thinking, I wish this plane could just speed up.
Moments later, a crew member announced: “We’re lucky today- we’re riding a strong jet stream and will arrive about half an hour early.” That unexpected support allowed me to join the call the moment we landed.
We often think that growth and expansion comes from doing more effort, more strategy, more pushing. However, sometimes the piece that makes all the difference is in a little unseen support.
Like a jet stream that carries an airplane faster and farther without using extra fuel- the quality of support matters more than force. This is what Feng Shui teaches us. When your space is aligned with natural flow of energy, you allow this positive flow to support you and influence you, so growth feels organic rather than forced.
Here are a few key Feng Shui concepts that gently reconnect you to natural forces and open the door to growth:
Flow of Qi (Life Force)
Just like wind moving through trees or water flowing between the rocks, energy needs space to move. Clear pathways, uncluttered rooms, and open entrances allow Qi to circulate freely. When energy moves with ease, so do ideas, people, and opportunities.
Yin/Yang Balance
Nature thrives on rhythm- activity and rest, light and dark, expansion and pause. A space that is too stimulating leads to burnout. A space that is too quiet leads to stagnation. When Yin and Yang are balanced, your energy expands sustainably.
Your Desk Position
One of the most overlooked connections to expansion is your line of sight. When you can see the sky from your working desk, even partially, you stay connected to possibility, timing, and opportunity. The sky represents openness, future pathways, and unseen support.
-A desk facing a wall limits vision.
-A desk aligned with light and sky invites perspective, inspiration, and new directions.
-You don’t need a perfect view- just a reminder that life is bigger than the task in front of you.
Support at the back
In Feng Shui, growth happens when you feel supported from behind and open toward the future. A solid wall, furniture, or structure behind you creates stability. Open space, light, or a view in front of you encourages expansion.
Your home and workspace are not just containers for your life. They are active participants in how you grow, create, and receive.
Small adjustments can shift everything.
If you feel called to explore how your space is influencing your energy, clarity, and opportunities, a Feng Shui assessment can reveal what’s already working- and what’s quietly blocking your growth.
